Taste of Bollywood is an Indian restaurant and bar on Port Road, Hindmarsh, built around a simple idea: the food of India deserves the same drama as its cinema. Rich, generous, unhurried — and always meant to be shared.
Our kitchen cooks the classics properly. Whole spices are dry-roasted and ground in house. Curries are built on slow-cooked onion and tomato masalas rather than shortcuts. The tandoor runs hot all evening for breads and skewers, and the biryani is layered and sealed so the rice takes on the spice as it steams. From the north come the creamy, buttery gravies; from the south and the coast, lighter, sharper, chilli-forward dishes. Vegetarian plates get the same attention as everything else, never treated as an afterthought.
The Bollywood theme is more than decoration — it sets the pace of a night here. Warm light, colour, music, and a room that fills with conversation. Come for an early family dinner, settle in with friends over drinks and small plates from the bar, or take the whole production home with one of our take-away deals.
